Mod Shop offers Fender customers the opportunity to create a factory customized instrument of their own design by selecting from a menu of options.

The experience begins by choosing a base model - Start, Tele, Jazzmaster, P Bass or Jazz Bass and then “modifying” it by selecting the neck, pickups, color, tuners, pickguard and other features that suit your personal taste and style, creating a one of a kind instrument personal to you.

 All orders ship within 30 days of order.

All Mod Shop builds carry Fender’s 2 Year Warranty and are not eligible for changes, returns or exchanges. 

Due to the personalized nature of Mod Shop, we cannot cancel or make any changes to any Mod Shop orders once they have been placed. All sales are final. If you receive a defective product, please contact us at consumerrelations@fender.com with details of the product and the defect. All defective products shall be subject to the Fender 2-year Electric Guitar and Bass Warranty.

Q: What if I want an option that I don’t see offered?

A: Mod Shop is limited to the options available. For a more extensive build, please check out the Fender Custom Shop.

Q: Can I mix and match between models, such as a Strat neck on a Telecaster?

A: Parts are not interchangeable between models in Mod Shop

Q: Are Mod Shop guitars made in the USA?

A: Yes, Mod Shops are built in our Corona, California factory.

Q: Do Mod Shop guitars and basses ship with a case?

A: Yes. All of our Mod Shop instruments will ship with a Fender Deluxe molded case and Certificate of Authenticity

Q: I have placed my order but have changed my mind about some of my choices. Am I able to change them?

A: Due to the personalized nature of our Mod Shop builds we cannot accept any spec changes or order cancellation requests once the order has been placed. Be sure to double check your selections before submitting your order.
